Sunday September 22, 2024 – Cambria, California

The area around Cambria has many interesting things to do for those who arrive early Sunday. Downtown Cambria is a compact area slightly inland that has many interesting shops, bars, and restaurants. The host hotel is in Cambria’s seaside area and has numerous easy shoreline walkways. There are several wineries for tasting nearby and along the road to Paseo Robles. You can spend hours watching the elephant seals cavort at the elephant seal vista about 10 miles north of Cambria along the Pacific coast Highway. The historic Piedras Blancas Lighthouse is near the elephant seal vista but is closed Sundays. Finally, nearby Hearst Castle is worth a visit but tour tickets must be purchased in advance.
