Very Important Note – It is very important that you make your reservations immediately after registration. We are traveling in a high demand time-frame for fall colors in the mountains. Group rates expire June 1, May 1 in Virginia City, and in Groveland alternative locations are scarce and/or distant.

Sunday September 24, 2017 – Las Vegas, NV

There is no host hotel in Las Vegas since our host facility is the Audi Henderson dealership. Resorts closest to the dealership are the Fiesta Henderson, Sunset Station, and Green Valley Ranch Resort. All of these resorts are only a few minutes away from the dealership and have buffets, multiple restaurants, bars, gaming, and entertainment inside the resort.

The Fiesta (make sure you get the Fiesta Henderson because there is another Fiesta resort far away on the other side of Las Vegas) is the closest and least expensive but has no nearby amenities. Sunset Station is the middle price choice and is across the street from a large shopping mall. Green Valley is the luxury choice and also has a nearby shopping district. There are also many non-gaming hotels in Henderson.

If you prefer to stay on the famous Las Vegas Strip, it is recommended you stay at the southern resorts that include Mandalay, Delano, Luxor, Excalibur, or Tropicana since these provide the easiest access to roads to Audi Henderson. Mandalay is the luxury choice of these. If you prefer to stay in classic downtown Las Vegas, the Gold Nugget is the only recommendation.

Monday September 25, 2017 – Lone Pine, CA

The host hotel is Dow Villa at 310 South Main Street, Lone Pine, CA which is a recently renovated 1950s classic facility in old town with shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. Call 800-824-9317 and ask for the TT West group rate. We are in the renovated motel as opposed to the “classic” no air conditioning hotel. Rates are $107 for a room with one bed and $117 for rooms with 2 beds. All prices quoted do not include taxes. There is also a Best Western south of town and a Comfort Inn further south, but neither has any nearby amenities.

Tuesday September 26, 2017 – Mammoth Lakes, CA

The host hotel is the Alpenhof Lodge at 6080 Minaret Rd., Mammoth Lakes which is in the heart of downtown Mammoth Lakes with shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance. Call 800-828-0371 and ask for the TT West rate which ranges from $109 to $139 depending on the bed configuration and if it has a fireplace and mentioning TT West gets you a 10% discount on these rates. There are many other hotels in this resort area, but be aware that some are rather isolated.

Wednesday September 27, 2017 – Groveland, CA

The host hotel is the Yosemite Westgate Lodge at 7633 State Highway 120, Groveland, CA which is the first privately owned hotel outside of Yosemite, but is still a 37 mile drive from the main Yosemite Park complex. The actual town of Groveland is 11 miles further west.

Alternative accommodations in this area are very limited and dispersed over a large geographic area, so be very careful in choosing alternate lodging since getting to the host hotel Thursday morning could involve an 11 mile drive in traffic. Staying at lodging inside Yosemite is not recommended due to its scarcity, high cost, and long commute (about 37 miles) to the host hotel Thursday morning.

Rooms at the Yosemite Westgate Lodge start at $125 and there is an adjacent restaurant. Call 209-962-5281 for reservations. We do not have a reserved group at this hotel, but there are plenty of rooms available, so act now!

Thursday September 28, 2017 – Virginia City, NV

The host hotel is the Silverland Inn at 100 N. E Street, Virginia City, NV. Phone 775-847-4484 and ask for the TT West rate which expires May 1. This Inn is, by far, the largest and nicest place in Virginia City and a short walk to the main Old Town area with restaurants, shops, and saloons. Rooms start at $120.

There are several old hotels with “character” in Virginia City if you don’t mind not having all the modern amenities. I encourage you to read reviews on TripAdvisor if you are considering one of the old hotels.

Friday September 29, 2017 – Stateline, NV

The host resort is the Lakeside Inn 168 Highway 50, Stateline, NV. This is a casino resort with gaming and multiple bars. We have a group rate of $99 only if you call 800-624-7980 and ask for the TT West rate. You must pre-pay to get the TT West rate, but you can cancel up to 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
